The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: Have you ever slapped anyone?
Sentence: Holly figured she must be adopted, since she was the only one in her family who refused to eat fish eyes.
Paragraph: Matt the Brat did it on a dare, as usual, but this time his legs were shaking. He had climbed the ten meters without hesitation, always eager for a thrill. However, as soon as he reached the top of the tower and looked out over the pool, so far below, he was afraid he might have to climb back down. The voices of his buds urging him on – Jump, jump, jump! – barely reached his ringing ears. The clouds seemed so close, the people so small. With sudden determination he balled his fists, clenched his jaw, and stiffened his knees.
Prompt: Relate the time you totally fooled someone.
Word of the Day: illimitable – adj : incapable of being limited or bounded : MEASURELESS (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, 2011)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
