Dear Readers and Writers,
This 104th week marks the second anniversary of Writer’s Block Busters. Everyday, for two years, I have posted daily kick-starters for those seeking writing help and/or inspiration. In doing so I must have become somewhat addicted to it, for I never waivered during road trips or illness or family obligations. As soon as I awoke, I went directly to my office PC (or the laptop) and this WordPress blog. Most of the time, the posts were prepared in advance and I would check one last time before offering them up for grabs. Occasionally, my template was empty and I posted from scratch. But, besides being an outlet for my myriad thoughts, I have enjoyed everyday of posting because of you and my love of words. Words lead to thinking and thinking leads to writing and writing leads to reading – such a perfect chain of cause and effect!
This blog is devoted to writers. I do not share its posts with my facebook account, like I do my other blog (www.cyranette.wordpress.com), which is for the general public. Writers are special people. They provoke, inform, and entertain, creating wonderful images out of words, and not everyone can do that. Writers may not physically paint, construct, sing, play an instrument, sculpt, or orchestrate, but they can bring these things to life with their imagination and research. They delve into their psyches, experiences, and observations to produce characters that readers will like, love, feel sorry for, identify with, or hate. That’s a powerful gift, don’t you think? It’s why I started this blog: to help writers unstick their thoughts, switch on their minds, and jump-start their writing.
Thanks so much to all my followers, likers, and commenters these past couple years. However, I was wondering if maybe it might be time for a change. What do you think? Have you had enough of WBB? Are you weary of its appearance? Is it too simplistic or just what you need? Does it need improving? Is there anything else you would like for me to do with it?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
