The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: Are you a pushover?
Sentence: Beneath the dry and warped floorboards lived a creature not long seen.
Paragraph: His fingers kept cramping as he tied the knots. He had been so excited and in such a hurry that he had forgotten to drink or eat, again. A fresh wind blew the yellow ends around the skin and bones of still warm joints, as if purposefully flapping to draw attention before he finished his task. Since nature had not thwarted him before, he momentarily paused with hesitation on the last satin ribbon.
Prompt: Write an essay on the pros/cons of legalizing prostitution.
Word of the Day: sciential – adj. 1. having knowledge. 2. of or pertaining to science or knowledge. (RANDOM HOUSE WEBSTER’S COLLEGE DICTIONARY, 1991)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
