Tuesday Tips #91

The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”

Question: How bothersome is it to have your routine disrupted?

Sentence: With closed eyes and raised arms, she endured the pain by imagining warm water sluicing down her naked body.

Paragraph: Several vehicles were parked along one side of the wide bridge. Several vendors offered bottled drinks and candies to a smattering of onlookers. Curious, and not in any hurry, we pulled the rental Jeep over and got out to see what the attraction was. Along the edge of a muddy Costa Rican river, about seventy feet below, dozens of huge crocodiles lay in wait for something to eat.

Prompt: Relate a fond memory with your grandparent(s).

Word of the Day: contemporaneous adj. existing or happening in the same period of time (WEBSTER’S NEW WORLD COLLEGE DICTIONARY, 3rd ed., 1996)

If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
