The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: What is the most recent bad news you have had?
Sentence: Ever curious, Isaac reached through the slats to touch his sleeping baby sister.
Paragraph: Sitting in her contemplative place, upon the soft moss at the edge of the clear rippling creek, the soothing sounds of nature took her away. She closed her eyes and thought about all the places she had wanted to see but never did. Everyone is born with a redwood tree of hope, but, little by little, life whittles it down to a toothpick.
Prompt: If you could invite anyone – in the world and/or in the past – to a discussion group, list seven people you would choose.
Word of the Day: swink – vi archaic : TOIL, SLAVE – n archaic : LABOR, DRUDGERY (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, 2011)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
