The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: When you were a kid, what was your favorite playground apparatus?
Sentence: When Sandra’s new foster mother poured skim milk into her cereal, she knew this one was not going to work out either.
Paragraph: Standing atop the mountain peak, the wind fiercely buffeted him. He closed his eyes and spread his arms, daring to be blown away. An eagle’s piercing cry broke his revelry and he watched it soar, wondering if it was ever for mere pleasure rather than just a hunt for food. Magnificent! Suddenly the bird plummeted and then he heard the crack of a rifle.
Prompt: Briefly describe an alternate world.
Word of the Day: younker – n 1 : a young man 2 : CHILD, YOUNGSTER (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, 2011)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
