The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: What has been bugging you lately?
Sentence: After three days of ignoring the whisperings in her ears, Nina gave in and began listening.
Paragraph: The feud between the Naeglins and the Bancrofts developed several generations ago, after Teneferd Naeglin accidently blew up the Bancrofts outhouse with grandpa Bancroft inside, unfortunately. Teneferd had just received a box of dynamite (left over from Chance’s fishin’ days) for his eleventh birthday and just had to try some out. “Don’t get yourself killed!” was all his mam had instructed.
Prompt: List three of your greatest pleasures.
Word of the Day: boffo – adj : extremely successful : SENSATIONAL (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, 2011)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
