The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: Who among your friends or relatives is the most offensive?
Sentence: With his guts about to explode, Shane raced to the bathroom.
Paragraph: Candace wished she had called in sick. After three days of rain, the packed commuter train smelled with the inability to dry out. By the time she got to Barrow & Barrow, the sour odor would have permeated her hair and clothes and she would have to put up with unkind looks from her city-dwelling coworkers. At least those who did not have colds.
Prompt: Describe how a rainbow makes you feel, what it brings to mind.
Word of the Day: artificer – n. 1 a skillful maker of things; skilled craftsman 2 a person who devises; inventor (WEBSTER’S NEW WORLD COLLEGE DICTIONARY, 3rd ed., 1996)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
