The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: How young do you feel?
Sentence: After nearly eighteen years, Trevor’s absentmindedness began to bug his wife.
Paragraph: Priscilla could not remember being so awake in the middle of the night. She had slept just fine the night before, the first time they had slept apart in six years. Tony was in Seattle on his inaugural business trip since being promoted. Last night he had called in a still-excited voice. Tonight he sounded exhausted from the day’s strenuous schedule. When they hung up, she suddenly realized how very far away he was.
Prompt: Name your favorite comedian.
Word of the Day: execrate – vt 1 : to declare to be evil or detestable : DENOUNCE 2 : to detest utterly (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, 2011)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
