The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: Do you prefer several long weekends per year or a single two- or three-week vacation?
Sentence: “Solomon’s Sentiments” florist flourished more during times of sorrow and worry than love or guilt.
Paragraph: Papa Nolan’s grocery was haunted. Patrons often complained of feeling a chill far from the frozen food section, sometimes in the personal hygiene aisle and sometimes in the produce section. Never anywhere else, though, which seemed quite odd.
Prompt: Choose a local or state law that has become obsolete and write a recommendation for its repeal.
Word of the Day: ambit – n. 1. a circumference; circuit. 2. a boundary; limit. 3. a sphere of operation or influence; scope. (RANDOM HOUSE WEBSTER’S COLLEGE DICTIONARY, 1991)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
