The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: Besides writing, what other talent do you wish you had been born with?
Sentence: There are things that children should not see.
Paragraph: Reed Murdock was a wee bit of a man, but when he sang he ruled the world. His melodic voice thread through every cell of a listener’s body, causing breaths to be held and deep sighs to be released. Murdock’s singing lured women of all ages and forms, but he still pined for a long-lost love.
Prompt: List five subjects you do not want to write about.
Word of the Day: guerdon – n : REWARD, RECOMPENSE (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, 2011)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
