The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: When was the last time you went down a slide?
Sentence: Marcie mentally winced as she went over her father’s accounts.
Paragraph: In the water, Sammy is a fish, fast and skinny. He can hold his breath longer than anybody I know. Off a diving board he flips and spins, but enters the water practically without a splash. Or he can make a bigger splash than the grossest fat guy at the pool. So, of course, we, his admirers, expect him to be able to do anything dealing with water, but yesterday he totally shocked us by trembling at going off the ten-meter tower.
Prompt: Name someone whose life you helped to improve.
Word of the Day: medicament -n.a healing substance; medicine; remedy. (RANDOM HOUSE WEBSTER’S COLLEGE DICTIONARY, 1991)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
