The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: Is it possible for you to be practical about love?
Sentence: With utter confidence, Harlen Whitehall bet all he had on the four tens in his poker hand.
Paragraph: Roman came home bone tired and found his Nina in tears. The dinner she was making did not come out like the recipe promised. He inwardly sighed and held her in his well-muscled arms, while she related what had happened in the past half hour. At one point, Nina broke away and slapped her hand down over and over on the recipe she had been using.
Prompt: Explain how your New Year’s resolution(s) are going.
Word of the Day: frugivorous – adj. fruit-eating (RANDOM HOUSE WEBSTER’S COLLEGE DICTIONARY, 1991)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
