The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: What is the furthest down-in-the-dumps you have been?
Sentence: The words of the song choked in her throat.
Paragraph: In anticipation of the obnoxious carolers, Joshua Grumbles kept icing down the front walkway and steps. Despite not decorating the house or putting up a tree, the unwelcome neighbors persisted in singing for him. This year, he vowed, it just was not going to happen. After making sure no one could walk up to the porch without slipping, he turned off all the lights and went down to the basement, whistling “Jingle Bells.”
Prompt: List the things of which you are weary.
Word of the Day: pro tempore – adv : for the time being (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, 2011)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
