The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: What do you like the most about your job?
Sentence: Elizabeth Rallings would do anything for her husband.
Paragraph: William walked into his home with a grimace. The noisy ruckus of the children playing, the dogs barking, and the television blaring rattled his teeth and offended his ears. Not what he needed. For a breath’s moment, before being noticed, he was tempted to just back out, close the door, and take off for parts unknown.
Prompt: Name your favorite song.
Word of the Day: jactation – n. an abnormally restless tossing of the body. (RANDOM HOUSE WEBSTER’S COLLEGE DICTIONARY, 1991)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
