Tuesday Tips #29

The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”

Question: What/who are you nuts about?

Sentence: “Dammit, can’t you get anything right?” my mother yelled at me.

Paragraph: The roiling, angry ocean made steering the oiler Jezebel impossible. The ship, reeking of vomit, was being lifted nearly a hundred feet up and then dropped every few minutes. The hurricane had not come out of nowhere, but Captain Donovan Reneaux, with nearly forty years of sailing under his belt, had been unable to evade its rapid expansion. Strapped in his chair, bruised from trying to stand upright, he wondered how far off course they would be when it was over – presuming they survived.

Prompt: Describe your sense of well-being.

Word of the Day: noctambulist – n : a person who walks while asleep : SLEEPWALKER (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition, 2011)

If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.

My husband and I would like to visit England, Europe, and New Zealand and to take a train ride along the Canadian/American border.
