The purpose of this blog is to help writers with their work, to be museful or perhaps instrumental in unclogging thoughts. To this end, I am providing a daily question, beginning sentence, beginning paragraph, prompt, and word-of-the-day to stimulate your “little gray cells.”
Question: Do you believe in soulmates?
Sentence: For the good of the household Mortimer Mouse bravely snuck out to spy upon his up-to-no-good cousin, Rascal Rat.
Paragraph: Placing two fingers against his carotid artery, Gary felt the misbeating of his heart. The palpitations had been occurring more frequently over the past month, but his concern had not increased to the point of sharing what was going on with Andrea. His was only 47, for Christ’s sake! Having looked up palpitations online, Gary did not feel inclined to call his doctor – yet.
Prompt: Who is your special someone and why?
Word of the Day: tabula rasa – n. 1. a mind not yet affected by experiences, impressions, etc. 2. anything existing undisturbed in its original pure state (RANDOM HOUSE WEBSTER’S COLLEGE DICTIONARY, 1991)
If your work needs a title, tweaking, or critiquing, please do not hesitate to ask. Cyranette is here for you.
